At one point, his memorial plans were even underway in Sydney when he became Missing-In-Action and was presumed dead, after being captured in Syria and tortured as a spy. Amazingly, Les survived his Syrian captures and lives on to tell his unique and truly engaging stories in his fascinating autobiography.
