Norman Perrin was one of the most innovative New Testament scholars of the twentieth century. This volume brings together some of his best-known works on historical Jesus research, parables, redaction criticism, and New Testament theology. With an introduction and bibliography as well as updated notes, this volume brings Perrin's insights to a new generation of students and scholars.
Norman Perrin was Professor of New Testament at the University of Chicago and the author of major works in New Testament scholarship. K. C. Hanson has taught biblical studies at Episcopal Theological School and the School of Theology at Claremont, Creighton University, and St. Olaf College. He is author of numerous scholarly articles and two volumes in the Proclamation series. His published works include Palestine in the Time of Jesus: Social Structures and Social Conflicts (Fortress Press, 1998).
