An invitation to rebalance your life and regain perspective. Practicing Your Path offers seven one-day retreats on the components of classical Christian spirituality: Sabbath, Hospitality, Prayer and Action, Fasting, Giving Back to God, Living Into Your Call, and Accountability. Each chapter includes a structure for a one-day private retreat with flexible options for groups. Includes thoughtful meditations, journaling or discussion questions, guidelines for use of time, creative ideas for art and ritual, and ideas for longer retreats.
Holly Wilson Whitcomb has been a pastor and clergywoman in the United Church of Christ since her graduation from Yale Divinity School in 1978, and has served churches in Connecticut, Iowa, and Wisconsin. She is also a graduate of the two-year training program for spiritual directors at the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation in Bethesda, Maryland. As the Director of Kettlewood Retreats, Holly is a retreat leader and spiritual director who travels to churches, retreat houses, and conference centers across the country. She is also a jewelry-maker who has donated a number of her pieces to charity auctions and who often incorporates "art as meditation" into her retreats. Holly is the author of numerous articles on spirituality as well as the book Feasting with God. She lives in a suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin with her husband John, and their two children, David and Kate.
