Eve B. Hoover, DMSc, PA-C, DFAAPA received her Physician Assistant education from Saint Louis University, followed by a Master's degree in Advanced Physician Assistant Studies focused on Education and Leadership from A.T. Still University. She then earned a Doctor of Medical Science in PA Education from University of Lynchburg. Eve has been recognized as a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants for commitment to medical practice, service and leadership within the PA profession. Eve has published peer reviewed manuscripts on topics such as Travel Medicine, Infectious Disease, Orthopedics and medical practice and is also a peer reviewer for the journal Clinician Reviews. Eve entered PA education after fifteen years of practice in a variety of primary care settings. Eve completed a postgraduate academic fellowship at Midwestern University and then joined the didactic team as an Assistant Professor. She is now an Associate Professor at Midwestern University. Eve has presented at state, regional, and national venues on topics related to PA practice and PA education. She enjoys the opportunity to teach students and clinicians about areas of medicine including but not limited to HEENT, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Infectious Disease, Gastroenterology, Urology, Neurology, Pediatrics, Endocrinology, Ethics, Laboratory Assessment, History and Physical Exam and Clinician Wellness. She serves as one of the Midwestern University PA Program Challenge Bowl faculty advisors and has been active in question development to support student learning for years. Eve also serves on the CME committee for the Arizona State Association of Physician Assistants and is committed to providing relevant, effective, comprehensive learning opportunities for students and clinicians. Kimberly A. Carter, DMSc, PA-C, RD, is an Associate Professor and Clinical Coordinator with Midwestern University's PA Program. Kimberly completed a Dietetic Internship at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and practiced inpatient nutrition and dietetics before transitioning into medicine. She earned her Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from A.T. Still University and Doctor of Medical Science in PA Education from the University of Lynchburg. Her clinical experience is within the fields of Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, and Gastroenterology. Kimberly has published a peer reviewed manuscript on curriculum development and is also a peer reviewer for the journal of Clinical Advisor. Kimberly instructs on a variety of medical subjects including but not limited to Nutrition, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Urology, Acid-Base Disorders, Electrolyte Abnormalities, Physical Diagnosis, Clinical Laboratory and Diagnostic Medicine, Health Maintenance and Preventative Wellness, and Pharmacology. Kimberly facilitates small group activities across the clinical medicine curriculum and serves as a co-faculty advisor for the Midwestern University PA program Challenge Bowl Team. She is involved in the assessment of student learning and contributes to test-item writing for formative and summative exams. Kimberly aims to develop authentic assessments to support the attainment of competency and readiness for clinical practice. Aside from her academic and clinic roles, she enjoys presenting at state and national conferences on CME content. Robyn A. Sears, DMSc, MS, PA-C received her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota in the field of Microbiology and then went on to attend A.T. Still University's PA Program, earning her MS in Physician Assistant Studies. She has also completed her Doctor of Medical Science with a concentration in education. Robyn practiced clinically as a PA for 18 years in the areas of emergency medicine and interventional pain management before transitioning to PA education in June of 2015. She has worked for Midwestern University's PA Program for the past six years and is now an Associate Professor. She lectures on topics to include HEENT, Ophthalmology, Infectious disease, Radiology, Neurology, Musculoskeletal, Emergency Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Professionalism. Robyn has presented nationally, regionally, and at the state levels on topics related to patient care and professionalism. She has been published in the peer reviewed Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants on acute cancer pain management and is a peer reviewer for the journal. Robyn serves on the Awards Committee and the CME committee for the Arizona State Association of Physician Assistants and prepares and revises questions for the state Challenge Bowl. Sarah L. Bolander, DMSc, PA-C, DFAAPA, is an Associate Professor in the PA program at Midwestern University and Adjunct Faculty in the Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) program at the University of Lynchburg. She is a graduate of both of these programs earning her Master of Medical Science Degree at Midwestern and her DMSc Degree with a focus in PA education at University of Lynchburg. At Midwestern University, she lectures on topics including dermatology, orthopaedics, pediatrics, surgery, pulmonary, endocrine, neurology, imaging, procedural skills, and evidence-based medicine. Sarah continues to work clinically in orthopaedic surgery. Sarah is a Distinguished Fellow with the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and an active member of Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA), Arizona State Association of Physician Assistants (ASAPA), and Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery (PAOS). Sarah serves her profession both locally and nationally. She is the 2021-2022 ASAPA President and an Arizona Representative for the AAPA House of Delegates since 2018. She serves on the Education Steering Committee for PAEA and is the Conference Workshop Lead for PAOS where she also routinely provides Self-Assessment Questions for CME events. Sarah has the privilege of presenting regularly at local, regional, and national conferences. She has written a book chapter and is published in several peer-reviewed medical journals.
