This volume considers the band and their legacy during the the height of their fame and looks at the impact Beatlemania had across the country. Fanclubs, press coverage, and record releases form just a small part of what's regarded in the book. Hemmingsen is without question the authority on the Beatles and Canada. This book completes his world-class study of the group.
Piers Hemmingsen is a Toronto-based writer specialising in the Beatles. 'The Beatles in Canada' is a two volume work studying the Fab Four's presence and influence in the country and undoubtedly stands as the authoritative text on the subject. Hemmingsen has consulted for EMI and Universal and has contributed to Record Colletor Magazine among others. In the 70s, prior to his studies on the Beatles, Hemmingsen helped to pioneer (and then became an authority on) 'government and business computing applications'.
