Three things I know are certain in my life
Firstly, I am a cursed Halfling – part faerie, part human.
Another thing I know is I hate faeries. They are deceitful, evil and conniving.
The third thing I know – and it is a certainty – Nothing is guaranteed in this life including your sanity, your family and your world as you know it.

Twin faerie princes, torn apart by jealousy and envy, embark on a journey to bring their halfling sister back to the realm of Grandelione.

Eamon’s bitter hatred has escalated to pure evil threatening to destroy the kingdom and its occupancy. He purposes to open the portal gates to their hidden world and wage a war to win his birthright back resulting in him becoming king.

Caelian battles to bring peace and harmony back to Grandelione. After his father honors, him as King- designate over Eamon, the first-born twin, he is forced to oppose his brother.

Eliana, their Halfling sister, is cursed with a darkness. She is drawn to Eamon’s dark magic because of an ancient evil curse her mother passed on to her. Her evil draws its power from pure demoncy.

Eliana finds herself on a quest; jam-packed with danger, new friendships and old enemies, to save a world she longed to remain apart from.

When learning a harrowing family secret at her Fathers castle - will she choose evil over good? Can she learn to harness her magic and help bring peace back to Grandelione and her family? Or will the darkness within consume her first?

My upbringing in the Brisbane to Lockyer Valley region of Queensland was inspirational as my young creative mind overflowed with ideas and images. After marrying I moved, with my husband, to the North West region and have lived here and in the Lockyer Valley long enough to see both my children born and raised. I return to Brisbane every year to our family home. I have always loved telling stories and so writing seemed to be the next natural thing to do. The Halfling took me about 6 months to write, and I am well into the first draft of the sequel. I love the journey I am on and would like to share my creative adventures with the youth of Queensland, Australia and the world. As an Author, I am creative, imaginative and original with a unique writing style that provides a reading experience unlike any other. I’m so appreciative and delighted by the positive response my work has received, and I want to foster that connection with our youth. I’m looking forward to sharing my future stories as they come to fruition.

What makes this book unique is the underlying theme relating to mental health. We all have an element of good and bad in us but we also have free will and this determines our actions and behaviours. Elianas journey is relatable and will connect with the youth of today. The novel is a form of escapism from real life although th moral themes are relatable today. Another selling point is the illustrations within the book are interesting and captivating. The third selling point is the novel is written in an easy to read format. Social media campaigning by using the LIVE video and advertising is very effective on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr. I advertise through my website and send out regular newsletters to my mailing list which is growing. ABC radio has offered interviews, I have advertised my series of webinars through them. Book signings and town markets are forms of selling. In the future I have another sieries of webinars, author interviews and signings in September in the Brisbane region.
