Isabella Crean is primary school student who lives in Perth, Western Australia. She was the winner of the 2016 Young Writers Award.  Isabella who has epilepsy mirrors her everyday troubles through her writing, often writing about inanimate objects, and instilling them with feelings and emotions. When asked about why she writes, she said quite simply, “Writing makes my heart sing.”
