This book will analyse the assembled work of a diverse group of master plastic aeroplane modellers. Included in this reference will be sections on conversions and modifications of kits, how to super-detail kits, how to model vacuform parts and kits, and even how to scratch-build entire models. Instead of having to learn all these techniques on your own through trial and error, the average modeller will be able to draw upon the experience and expertise of these master modellers. This book will contain easy to understand instructions and photographs to illustrate the techniques described. Even if you are not able to master all the techniques illustrated, your modelling skills will still be improved. As a plastic modeller myself, I know I have improved my skills by examining and following the work of these master modellers, and although not a master modeller myself (and probably never will be!), my models have improved greatly in appearance. Not only will the techniques shown improve the appearance of your models, but they will actually improve your workflow and enable you to more efficiently build your models.
Jason Nicholas Moore has been studying aircraft for over forty years and has had numerous books published on Soviet aviation, including the Il-2 Shturmovik, Soviet Strategic Bombers, and the Soviet Bombers of the Second World War. His interest in Soviet and Russian aviation has not just been limited to bombers, but has extended as well to fighter aircraft, of which he has also had books published, including one on the Lavochkin Fighters of the Second World, and the Soviet Fighters of the Second World War. He has also had a book published on the Soviet wartime medium bomber, the Tu-2.
