Robert Eddison is a journalist, public speaker, playwright and world-class aphorist. After graduating from Cambridge in Modern & Medieval Languages and Law, his career was kick-started by a European scholarship, a university lectureship, a lecture tour of America and a major interview with the late Margaret Thatcher for the London Times. As a multilingual lover of language, he has coined around 40,000 original one-liners on 160 different topics, ranging from political correctness to cannibalism. His widely published maxims led to the founding of the Eddison Aphorism Prize by his old Cambridge college.
