Author: Krystina Gibson has been in the creative industry for over 20 years and has always had a passion for storytelling. When the opportunity to help her son with his delayed speech came up, her attention turned towards children’s books and reading to him. Using her extremely loud cat (who missed a Guinness World Record by a whisker) as inspiration, Kitty Pom was born. Krystina has drawn inspiration from speech therapists and early childhood educators when writing her books. She is super passionate about rhyme and alliteration, which is an important step in phonological awareness. She hopes that Kitty Pom can help other kids in their speech journey. Illustrator: Lucy is a Melbourne-based illustrator who has a BA in Creative Advertising from RMIT and PG Dip in Arts Management from Melbourne University. Since then, she has worked steadily as a freelance illustrator on a variety of unusual client projects. When she’s not working, Lucy indulges in the quirky world of her vivid imagination, doing her best to bring it to life on canvas. She is a proud mum with a wonderful partner and a cat called Schmoo.
