Find a special place and sit very still. In a comfy corner … by a stream … up a hill. You can sit on a cushion, your hands on your knees. Or perch on a rock, just under some trees. Children are gently encouraged to join Molly, Finn and the gang as they listen to the beautiful sounds found in the world around them. A charming, inspirational guide to find the peace and calm of meditation through the sense of hearing. A delightful third addition to Louise Bladen’s first two books: What’s in Your Mind Today? And What’s in Your Heart Today?
Author: As a classical pianist, Louise found that the mental focus needed gave her relief from emotional stress. She later discovered a profound state of peace could be cultivated through mindfulness and swapped her piano stool for a meditation cushion! After years of teaching primary classroom music, she realised that there is great need to help children learn tools to better cope with busy lives. This resulted in her writing children’s books which act as a good starting point for children and adults wishing to learn basic meditation technique. Louise loves painting in watercolours, swimming watching musicals and walking her fourlegged canine friends, Maggie the Hairy and Harry the Smooth, accompanied by her two-legged husband, John. Illustrator: Angela Perrini is an artist who also teaches drawing. Her illustrations have been published in several children’s books including Ava’s Spectacles, Santa’s High- Tech Christmas, What’s in Your Mind Today?, My Grandma is 100 and Max’s Divorce Earthquake. Angela creates contemporary images that are watercolour based and digitally finished. She has a degree in Art History and lives in Puglia, Italy.
* Uses powerful, simple language to clearly describe the practice of profound meditation, emotional mindfulness, as well as inner peace. * Key themes include stopping to listen to the sounds around you and meditation. * Whimsical illustrations by Angela Perrini make this book appealing to all ages. * The third book in the series of proven international success with multiple print runs.
