As well as a writer, Jemima is a registered psychologist, student counsellor and teacher. Jemima is passionate about being an agent of social change, by replacing fear with understanding through her writing, and in her psychology practice. Jemima’s perspective on writing focuses on inclusion as a natural way of being in the world, and her picture book themes foster a sense of connection, compassion and belonging. As a Person of Colour, Jemima is passionate about increasing representation, both in authorship of children’s
literature, and in character representation. 
Liz Drummond
After working as a scientist for a number of years, Liz decided she preferred writing stories about the amazing research happening around her. Liz now enjoys chatting to researchers at the Australian National University and telling the world about their work in her role as a science communicator. Liz has also written for various magazines, and is excited to have co-authored her first picture book.
Illustrator:
Magie, an illustrator and motion designer based in Hobart, infuses her work with a passion for bold and vibrant colours. She took her drawing inspiration from her Iranian/Azeri background. She loves to transport viewers to imaginative worlds and blend cultural influences with contemporary aesthetics, captivating audiences with their energy and originality.
