Are you seeking more meaningful work? Have you been unfulfilled in a variety of jobs, organisations or careers and wondered why? Are you looking for ways to make your current job more meaningful? Or are you looking for work but are unclear how to get it right this time? Meaningful Work will unlock your unique path to career fulfilment. Based on world-first research, this book will help you define what meaningful work is for you, distilling it down into three key messages you can reflect upon for your own career. Learn how to get to the heart of what is meaningful for you, and how to use this to find contentment in your current or future role. The activities will further help you clarify and articulate how to find meaning in your work. You will also be inspired by the stories of people who have carved out meaningful careers. Some consciously pursued meaningful work, others took a more winding path of not settling until work felt right. These case studies will stimulate your thinking. They come from people with diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, and all have experiences you can learn from. People are reporting increasing levels of frustration in their careers, while work has become, simultaneously, our primary source of identity, significance and meaning. And artificial intelligence is changing the very nature of work. Understanding meaningful work will empower you to navigate these changing tides.
Everything Nina does is to create a world with more meaningful work. She is the Managing Director of Beaumont People, a recruitment and consulting firm that believes in placing people first. She is also President and Chair of the Recruitment, Consulting and Staffing Association of Australia and New Zealand, and the Chair of the Development Committee of the NORTH Foundation, a charity that supports medical research and patient care for the Northern Sydney Local Health District. She has experienced first-hand the power of work to transform your life, and through her work in recruitment has seen time and again how, when engaged in meaningful work, every outcome at work improves for both the individual and the organisation. It is these observations that drive her to continue to help others in their own development of meaningful work.
* It shares how current trends such as artificial intelligence, talent shortages and the deficit in human soft skills are shaping the world of work, arming the individual with a toolkit to continue a path of meaningful work into the future. * It is based on world-first and Australian-first research. * Real-life inspiring examples of the people who have found meaningful work, sharing their inflexion points and the sometimes-surprising paths they took to meaningful work. * Practical frameworks and activities, modelled on evidenced based research, are shared that allow the reader to identify what they might need to do differently to unlock their own path to meaningful work. Publicity: There is a three month publicist managed campaign planned from June - August. * June will focus on pre-release activities to start generating interest in print and online media including business, management, professional services, key B2B media and lifestyle magazines. * July will focus on all major newspapers nationally and regionally as well as the lifestyle and workplace sections and in the news community media and key regional media. * August will focus on Online, radio and TV & Video. * The publicist campaign will be supported by a book launch held in Sydney on July 20th.
