Allan Albert Teoh is a self-taught baker who ran a delightful cake shop known among cake and pastry aficionados for its treats that Allan himself baked daily. Allan has garnered numerous accolades for his baked goods, including being crowned one of the four Cheesecake Heavenly Kings in a countrywide contest organised by Lianhe Wanbao. His first cookbook, AllanBakes Really Good Cakes, was named the Best Desserts Cookbook for Singapore in 2011 at the World Gourmand Cookbook Awards.
Today, Allan shares his passion for baking and cooking by imparting his knowledge to others. He conducts culinary workshops at private cooking schools and community centres and is a partner of Chef’s Secrets Cooking & Baking Resource Centre. Allan has also written several other cookbooks. His seventh book, Home-cooked Meals, was published in 2019.
