The late Richard S MacNeish (1918-2001) was a distinguished archaeologist especially well known for his studies of early agriculture and the origins of corn. Jane G Libby assisted Dr MacNeish in his fieldwork and writing for many years at the Andover Foundation for Archaeological Research.
