His books include Metaphors for God's Time in Science and Religion (2002) and A Catholic Vision (co-authored with David Tracy; Fortress Press, 1984). James J. Walter is the Austin and Ann O'Malley Professor of Bioethics and Chair of the Bioethics Institute at Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles. He is co-author of Contemporary Issues in Bioethics: A Catholic Perspective (2005) and co-editor of A Call to Fidelity: On the Moral Theology of Charles E. Curran (2002).
