Description
"MykHabets has established a reputation as an energetic and dependable theologian who provides thoroughly researched reflections on some of the most burning issues in contemporary theology. In this thought-provoking volume on the theology of Thomas F. Torrance, Habets characteristically considers Torrance's thinking and then constructively carries this forward in ways that certainly will lead to further questions and reflection as Torrance himself would have wanted. Readers will learn from Torrance and from Habets and then will be challenged to think theologically for themselves." Paul D. Molnar St. John's University, Queens, New York "Recent years have seen a marked resurgence of interest in this key figure in modern theology. And rightly so - his work appears more and more relevant as the years go by. Habets' book will do much to clarify and advance Torrance's remarkable achievement." Jeremy Begbie Duke University "MykHabets has provided us with a constructive and critical account of T. F. Torrance's theology. In showing the consistency of Torrance's work on scientific method with his substantive doctrinal commitments, Habets reveals the ways in which his voluminous output is animated by a single theological vision. This is an important contribution to the growing secondary literature on Torrance." David Fergusson University of Edinburgh
