"Sexuality and War" explores what Evelyne Accad calls the indissoluble link between war and sexuality. Accad argues that many of the problems faced by societies at war stem from the way male sexuality is viewed and imposed and from the oppression of women within cultural parameters. Based on twelve years of indepth interviews and the study of six novels by both men and women, this book offers Western readers an original view of Middle Eastern culture and an insightful view of the role of sexuality in war.
