"Boslaugh, a statistical analyst and journalist, takes on the challenging task of compiling health care data from 193 countries. Each country is objectively analyzed in two- to three-page country profiles using standardized categories including major health issues, access to health care, insurance, governments' role in health case, and costs of hospitalization. Content comes from agencies such as the World Health Organization, Doctors without Boarders and the United Nations Development Programme, as well as research papers and monographs.... A very useful and informative book. Summing Up: Highly Recommended. Lower-level undergraduates and above; general readers." -- S. Leslie * CHOICE *
