Subir Ranjan Kundu is a senior researcher and non-fiction writer in the interdisciplinary fields of conservation, molecular and evolutionary biology. He was previously a research fellow at the Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Indian Botanic Garden, under the Botanical Survey of India, Howrah, India and successfully conducted studies on in situ conservation models at the University of Calcutta (Kolkata). Dr. Kundu received his M.Sc. in botany from Kanpur University, specializing in cytogenetics and plant breeding, and his Ph.D. in botany from the University of Calcutta, specializing in phytogeography, conservation, and evolutionary biology. He is the author of five books on conservation, molecular, and evolutionary biology, and has published numerous journal publications on conservation and evolutionary biology.
