"What's wonderful about Beekeeping? The coming together of Islamic eschatology and ecology through the study of bees is fantastic. . . . The richness of the ethnographic stories, and the use of the author's own experience are great. . . . The bees are mesmerizing, and the taste of honey is palpable. All this is a gift."-Anna Tsing, author of The Mushroom at the End of the World "What a strange, wonderful, magical book! Jasarevic combines personal reflection and academic rigor, physics and metaphysics, ecology and eschatology, to sketch out a vision of the End Times unlike anything I've read before. The book itself is a meditation on meaning, one that uses the plight of honeybees to elucidate our very presence on a doomed planet. An absolute joy to read."-Reza Aslan, author of No god but God and Zealot
