Eva Noack-Mosse (1902-1990) was a member of a distinguished German-Jewish family of publishers, jurists, scholars, and philanthropists, and she was married to a non-Jewish German, factors that initially delayed her arrest and internment. She continued to live in Germany after the war. Skye Doney is the director of the George L. Mosse Program in History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Birut? Ciplijauskait? (1929-2017) was a professor of Spanish at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
