Ziggy Alberts is an Australian singer-songwriter, poet and now childrens author, known for songs and stories that draw from his love of the ocean and the natural world.
Raised on Australias east coast, Ziggy has spent a lifetime by the water, and No Fin Steve is a tribute to the family moments, the swimming lessons, and the quiet lessons in self-belief that the ocean has taught him. Inspired by his travels to Norfolk Island and a real family who call this remote South Pacific island home, the story follows a grandfather and grandson: one teaching the other to swim, and along the way, teaching him to believe in himself.
With over 1 billion streams worldwide and a career built entirely on his own terms through his independent music company, Commonfolk, Ziggy has always told stories his way, from ARIA Platinum-certified records and three APRA Music Awards, to his self-published poetry collections brainwaves and sun memos, and now his debut childrens book, No Fin Steve. Ziggy is a champion for believing in yourself, and doing things your way.
