Description
Rabbi Dr. Leon Weissberg is an inspiration to all who believe in HaShem and the miracle of life. His personal journey began in a DP camp and steadily drew him into a lifelong commitment and devotion to the coveted role of teacher and torchbearer of history and memory. The International March of the Living and each of his students are fortunate to have him as one of our most knowledgeable and long-standing Holocaust educators. Reading this memoir is a must! --Phyllis Greenberg Heideman, President, International March of the Living Rabbi Leon is blessed with a magnetic personality, formidable intellect, boundless energy, indefatigable optimism, and much more. As readers will note, he has also been blessed with the gift of storytelling. This book is a gem, filled with nuggets of spiritual insight and a mix of philosophical and practical advice gleaned from a life filled with memorable experiences and interesting people--and one that began, against all odds, in a "displaced persons" camp in Germany just after World War II. This most-readable book is, like the Rabbi himself, an inspiration! --Robert Watson, Distinguished Professor of American History, Lynn University
