Ilona N. Rashkow is Professor of Judaic Studies, Women's Studies, and Comparative Literature at the State University of New York, Stony Brook. She has also been the Visiting Chair in Judaic Studies at the University of Alabama. Among her publications are The Phallacy of Genesis (1993) and Upon the Dark Places (1990).
