Anne H. Pinn is Pastor of Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, Buffalo, New York, and President of the Ministers' Alliance there. Anthony B. Pinn is Agnes Cullen Arnold Professor of Humanities and professor of religious studies at Rice University and teaches courses on African American religion, history of black religious thought, and black theology. He is the author of over thirty-five books, including The New Disciples: A Novel (2015), The End of God-Talk: An African American Humanist Theology (2012), Varieties of African American Religious Experience (Fortress Press, 1998), and Why Lord? Suffering and Evil in Black Theology (1995).
