Leslie C. Allen (1936-2025) was a senior professor of Old Testament at Fuller Theological Seminary, where he taught for more than twenty years. He was renowned for his expertise on the Hebrew prophets. He was the author of numerous books, including A Liturgy of Grief: A Pastoral Commentary on Lamentations and the Eerdmans Classic Biblical Commentary on the books of Joel, Obadiah, Jonah, and Micah.
