Margo Davis is known for her black-and-white portrait photography, and has taught photography at Stanford, UC Berkeley, and UC Santa Cruz. She is the co-author of three photographic books: Black Antigua: Portrait of an Island People (Scrimshaw Press, 1973). Women Writers of the West Coast (Capra Press, 1983), and The Stanford Album: A Photographic History, 1885-1945 (Stanford, 1989). She is represented by the Scott Nichols Gallery in San Francisco and New York.
