His books include Telecoms in the Internet Age: From Boom to Bust to . . . ? (2002), winner of the Wadsworth Prize for the best business history book published in the United Kingdom in 2002, and The Market and Beyond: Information Technology in Japan (1990), winner of the Masayoshi Ohira Memorial Prize.
