Mary Louise (nee Bangs) Rockthunder, wepanakit , was an Elder of Cree, Saulteaux, and Nakoda descent, born, raised and married at nehiyawipwatinahk / Piapot First Nation. She was born on October 16, 1913, and left for the spirit world over 90 years later on July 2, 2004. Originally from White Bear First Nation, Jean L. Okimasis is a retired Cree Language educator, who taught for many years with the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College (now First Nations University of Canada). Jean lives in Regina, SK. Arok Wolvengrey is Professor of Algonquian Languages and Linguistics at First Nations University of Canada in Regina.
