John Ingledew's wonderfully undisciplined approach to creativity has seen him work with photography, printmaking, typography, textiles, ceramics and collage, as well as teaching art and design. INSPIRED! is his seventh book, previous titles include How to Have Great Ideas and The A-Z of Visual Ideas. He is visiting Professor at the University of West London.
Description
This is now my 'go-to' book while I'm on my course, we have to make our own brief for some projects and I would sometimes face the fact I was stuck for ideas. The cover gives you a full idea of what this book will help you achieve- thinking creatively with some problem solving. No doubt I will be using this book for years to come, there's some considerate advice any Illustrator/designer can take with them for years. Chelsea on A-Z of Visual Ideas An excellent book for students in this area, or those embarking on a career in design - particularly if they are going the free lance route. Some information will be well known, some less so, but there is plenty here for all needs. Strongly recommended. Alison on A-Z of Visual Ideas There are lots of books about creativity out there. Most of them just repeat what all say/write and/or are very fuzzy with theories that don't really work. I am teaching creativity to students, working with them on projects - using the methods and so can see if systems work or not. And this is one of the few books, which is really very good! For amateurs to get an insight but also for professionals with already knowledge - and with the inspiration of this book you really can improve your creative work for clients as well as in the educational sector! Great book! I strongly can recommend it! Till on How to Have Great Ideas
