"Micheli's Encyclopedia of Sports Medicine is indispensable for any sports medicine collection. This authoritative, comprehensive, and extensive four-volume work is also available electronically. Topics range from the physical and psychological needs of athletes young and old to the diagnosis and treatment of various health conditions related to sports medicine... The highlight of this encyclopedia is the extensive collection of step-by-step instructions and images that illustrate a variety of taping and bracing techniques used in sports medicine. Summing Up: Essential. Libraries supporting interested upper-level undergraduates through professionals/practitioners." -- M. C. Melssen * Choice *
