Disability Through the Life Course is an excellent resource for university professors and students of any of the many human services disciplines, including adapted physical activity professionals, and a valuable addition to a university library collection." -- Lucy Wong Hernandez, MS * Adapted Physical Activity Quarterly * "This particular volume focuses on disability across the life span, addressing the needs and concerns of people at various stages of life, from prenatal development to old age. Heller and Harris, the main authors, address cultural environmental, political, and socioeconomic aspects of life development. This volume will be a valuable resource for those beginning their research or simply exploring the many facets of this important social issue. Summing Up: Recommended." -- C.L.
