Description

Michael A. Witt is Professor of Asian Business and Comparative Management at INSEAD (Singapore Campus) and an Associate in Research at the Reischauer Institute for Japanese Studies, Harvard University. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Political Science from Harvard University and an A.B. in International Relations and Japanese from Stanford University. Professor Witt has been studying Asia sine 1991. He speaks Japanese and Mandarin and has lived in Japan, China, and Singapore for more than half of that period. He further has a strong research interest in South Korea. Professor Witt's research studies cross-national variations in the ways of doing business. He has authored and edited a series of books and articles related to business in Asia, including the forthcoming Oxford Handbook of Asian Business Systems (Oxford University Press, with Gordon Redding). He became General Editor of Asian Business & Management in January 2012.
