"While the public is clamoring for added rigor and relevance in schools, educators are grappling with determining the definitions of these concepts. Authentic Intellectual Work standards and criteria allow educators to have deep and meaningful discussions. The AIW Framework and accompanying protocols have transformed professional development and learning communities by providing a common language of effective, research-based, rigorous and relevant education. This work fully supports the changes required in classrooms to reform and improve outcomes for students of all subgroups." -- Katy Evenson, Ed.S. "AIW is an instructional game changer. It has brought coherence across our district's schools as we help our teachers help students become 21st century learners." -- Michael Duncan, Ed.D. "It is inspiring to read these educators' testaments to the profound personal and professional impact of their efforts to promote students' Authentic Intellectual Work." -- Fred M. Newmann
