James Appleton, a licensed outdoors guide, grew up and lives in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains in Lake Placid, NY. He is the host, producer, editor, and writer of The 46 of 46 Podcast, the premier outdoors podcast that brings the mountains, trails, lakes, and stories of the Adirondack Park to listeners nationally and internationally. Many listeners have referred to James as, "the voice of the Adirondacks," and his demeanor, knowledge, presence, and passion for the Adirondacks continues to grow his listenership year after year. James and his wife Kinnon, also an Adirondack native, live in Lake Placid, NY with their three daughters and spend a lot of time exploring the great outdoors right in their own backyard.
