Knauff's "Virginia Reels" and the History of American Fiddling; and American Antebellum Fiddling, the latter four published by University Press of Mississippi.

There are multiple ethnological studies of traditional art culture included and all are interesting, but readers who solely want to learn about one or more of the artistic genres studied could still find value in only reading the chapter that pertains to their specific area of interest.
