Edith Rasell is an economist and a pastor in the United Church of Christ. She has worked at the Economic Policy Institute, a progressive think tank in Washington, DC, and has served on the national staff of the United Church of Christ as Minister for Economic Justice. She holds a PhD in economics from American University. Her writing has appeared in the American Economic Review and the New England Journal of Medicine, as well as at popular outlets including the blogs of Sojourners, the AFL-CIO, and the Center for American Progress.
