Jeanne L. Lee was born and raised in Portland, Oregon in 1941. She is the very proud mother of five children and four more by marriage. Her thirteen grandchildren are her life. She has owned hair and nail salons, a printing brokerage, a bar and restaurant; managed bars, graphics and printing shops, and has even flown planes. After her hectic years of suicide attempts, marriages, and mental institutions her diagnosis was a sort of relief. It did not take too long to embark on a new journey promising herself no one would go thorough this kind of suffering. She began a group for early stage Alzheimer's when she could get no help from anyone. She found an internet group called DASNI (Dementia Advocacy and Support Network International) which helped her to grow and feel needed. Lee currently resides in Hawaii.
