Maryam Abedi, Ph.D., is Director of Supported Living Services at the Institute for Applied Behavior Analysis in Los Angeles. The services that Dr. Abedi directs at IABA include Social/Community Integration and Participation (SCIP) and Community Supported Living Arrangement (CSLA), which together support 60 adults with developmental disabilities to live in their own homes. Dr. Abedi has also worked as a behavioral consultant for 9 years, providing consultation in support of individuals who are challenged with developmental disabilities, and whose behavior can be a barrier to full social and community integration. Dr. Sweitzer is a licensed psychologist with over 15 years' experience working with individuals with challenging behaviors. Dr. Sweitzer served as Director of Clinical Services for IABA, before beginning her own private practice. She is currently a behavior consultant in Irvine, CA, advising various agencies, and residential and day programs serving persons with developmental disabilities.
