John O. Jordan is professor of literature at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and director of the Dickens Project. He has written widely on Dickens and Victorian literature and is the editor of The Cambridge Companion to Charles Dickens (2001). Gordon Bigelow teaches in the English department at Rhodes College. "Offers a wide range of creative, practical, and inviting strategies for teaching Dickens's behemoth." --Dickens Quarterly "This splendid volume of essays does more to highlight Dickens's dazzling achievement in Bleak House than any critical intervention I have encountered. I found practices that will translate into my own teaching regardless of differences in context." --Carolyn Dever, Vanderbilt University
