Description
Professor Prowle has done a great job of setting out the scale of the challenge posed by climate change and highlighting how we look increasingly unlikely to avoid planetary warming with enormous consequences for humanity. The book is particularly good at describing the causes and consequences of climate change. I'd strongly recommend it to policymakers, students, academics and citizens.--Professor Peter Eckersley, Public policy academic This book provides a comprehensive explainer of climate change and how we can mitigate the risks or address the consequences. The author refers to realism rather than pessimism in his discussion about whether we have the international capability to meet these challenges. For those of us who are solution focussed it is a challenging read and a wake-up call.--Jacqueline Mallender, International public policy economist
