Description

Sandra Paucher is a native Floridian and lifelong naturalist whose hobbies include underwater cave exploration, survey, scientific diving, illustration, writing, and photography. She is the editor of Sheck Exleys The Taming of the Slough: A Comprehensive History of Peacock Springs. Her articles and photographs have been published in magazines such as Underwater Speleology, NSS News, and the NACD Journal. As an explorer of underwater features in Florida and the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico, she explored and collected survey data at various springs, including Indian Spring, OLeno State Park, Manatee Springs State Park, and Sistema Camilo near Akumal in the Yucatan Peninsula, among others. She was the first woman to enter and survey in the main spring of Weeki Wachee, a first magnitude spring near Hudson, Florida.
