Fred Magdoff is professor emeritus of Plant & Soil Science at the University of Vermont. He is author of some 100 papers on soil fertility, agroecology, and on the U.S. economy. He is co-editor of Agriculture and Food in Crisis (with Brian Tokar, 2010) and co-author of: What Every Environmentalist Needs to Know About Capitalism (with John Bellamy Foster, 2011), Creating an Ecological Society (with Chris Williams, 2017), and Building Soils for Better Crops (with Harold van Es, 2020). John Bellamy Foster is professor emeritus of sociology at the University of Oregon and editor of Monthly Review. He is the author of The Theory of Monopoly Capitalism (1986, 2004), The Great Financial Crisis (with Fred Magdoff, 2009), The Endless Crisis (with Robert W. McChesney, 2012), and Trump in the White House (2017). ?
