Scott Cole is a writer, speaker, motivator, and public figure who has been addressing balance and mobility issues for decades. From national aerobic champion to a star in the iconic Abs of Steel video series, movement master Scott Cole shifted into softer and slower forms of exercise decades ago, creating the Discover Tai Chi series in 2002. Now 65, Cole says, "The proof is in the tai chi pudding. I feel flexible, strong, limber, mobile, and balanced. I have zero joint pain, and I want to share these easy-to-follow insights and exercises with everyone!" His Discover Tai Chi video series has sold over one million copies, and the single title of Discover Tai Chi for Balance and Mobility video has been his top seller for the last 12 years. Cole spent several years in pain management, guiding people through movement protocols (and away from addictive pain meds) to improve their confidence and reclaim their balance and mobility. Cole has been on Live With Regis and Kelly, The View, The Early Show, CNN Headline News, Soap Talk (teaching tai chi to Lisa Rinna and Ty Treadway), The Other Half, HGTV, and the Food Network; as a featured trainer on the show Weighing In; and even in a fun fitness spoof with Greg Kinnear on his 1990s show Later With Greg Kinnear. In addition to his book Athletic Abs, Cole has penned features and has contributed to over 500 publications worldwide, including Men's Fitness, GQ, Men's Health, IDEA Fitness Journal, American Fitness Magazine, Shape, Shape Mexico, France's Pleine Forme, Brazil's Boa Forma, USA Today, Los Angeles Times, Newsday, and a feature page in AARP The Magazine for balance and mobility.
