Dr. Caroline Lebrec is a faculty member in the Educational Leadership Stream for the Department of French, Hispanic, and Italian Studies at the University of British Columbia. She has taught courses at the A1, A2, B1, and B2 levels of the CEFR and developed and taught a study abroad program at Universite de Lyon II for UBC students. Dr. Frenand Leger is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of French at Carleton University. He studied Education Sciences (BA), Applied Linguistics (MA), and Francophone Literature (PhD) at Indiana University and at the University of Toronto. As a faculty member at Carleton, he primarily teaches and coordinates advanced French courses, as well as literature and second/foreign language teaching methods. He is also a founding member of the Haitian Creole Academy and a courtesy Professor of Haitian Studies at Florida International University. His interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research focuses on the intersections of languages, cultures, ideologies, identities, and politics in Haiti and in other former colonies in the Caribbean. Dr. Miao Li is an Associate Teaching Professor in French in the School of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures, and Cultures at the University of Calgary. She received her PhD in French Studies from Queen's University. At the University of Calgary, she teaches and coordinates French language courses at the A1, A2, and B1 levels of the CEFR. She also teaches courses on francophone cultures, and 18th Century French literature. Her research focuses on 18th Century France, French language pedagogy, and lyrics translation from French and English to Chinese.
