Reviews

...a guide like this is sure to bring readers hours of delight, whether they're outside with a pair of binoculars or simply sitting at home. A superb and concise bird compendium. * Kirkus Reviews * This is a very convenient, highly visual guide with identification notes placed side-by-side with high-impact illustrations. It's a friendly, non-intimidating birder companion that is highly recommended for any collection serving birders, whether passionate or casual. * Booklist * A great addition to the North American shelf. It's compact and comprehensive and doesn't try to be anything other than it is and that makes it birder-friendly. -- Bo Beolens * Fatbirder * This book is ideal for taking out in the field, and will be a great addition to your library, regardless of whether you're planning to travel to North America or not. -- John Miles * Bird Watching Magazine * [Field Guide to the Birds of North America] provides the most comprehensive guide with illustrations and range maps for all potential species, including rare or accidental species. -- Rick Spaulding * IBIS * All in all, it is a really good guide, updated with regard to species status, with relevant subspecies and illustrating the differences between the difficult species. -- Stefan Stu?rup * Journal of The Danish Ornithological Society *
