Sonia Amin obtained her Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Western Michigan University. Dr. Amin is a licensed psychologist, with clinical and research interests in decolonizing mental health and liberatory healing practices, intergenerational trauma/complex trauma, racial and sexual identity development, and radical self-healing. Priya Bansal is a doctoral candidate for counseling psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she also obtained her M.A. in counseling psychology. Her research focuses on decolonization of the practice of psychotherapy, navigating systems of oppression, and identity development and mental health correlates for South Asians in the United States.
