Juan Pablo Mercado, Ph.D. is a tenured faculty member at Chabot College in the History Department and lectures in the Chicana and Chicano Studies Department at San Jose State University. He holds a Ph.D. in U.S. History from the University of California Los Angeles, M.A. in Mexican American Studies from San Jose State University, and B.A. in Chicano Studies from the University of California Berkeley. Dr. Mercado has presented and published widely on the topics of public art, Chicana/o murals and Chicana/o history.
