Lawrence Trevelyan Weaver is a retired professor of child health whose interests and publications have turned to history and biography. He inherited a substantial archive of his grandfather's papers which form the core substance of this book. His publications include Painter of Pedigree (Unicorn, 2017) and White Blood (Unicorn, 2021). Timothy Brittain-Catlin runs the Architecture Apprenticeship course at the University of Cambridge. His publications include Edwardians and their Houses (Lund Humphries, 2020).
